What are the different ways of ordering voiceovers? You may request an estimate or directly place your order from our online voiceover store. Find your talent and request an estimate -- If you have a script longer than 3 pages, require voiceover file editing, or have a need for accents and languages other than English, it's best to get an estimate. Online ordering is the most cost effective option for shorter scripts (3 pages and under). You'll also have the ease of ordering online from a select group of talent. For more details please visit our voiceover store. How do I select a voice talent? Listen to samples and choose your voice from our talent database or our voiceover store. Typically all voices on our website are available (every so often there is a vacation or two). We can also suggest talent and send you MP3 samples if you'd like. When is it best to get an estimate versus ordering online? It is best to get an estimate from us if your script is either greater than 4 pages, or longer than 5 minutes, or if the talent you selected is not available via our online store. A estimate request form is located here. Or contact us your request with either your script attached or your best idea of the length. How
do I get a price if my script isn't done yet but I know how long my script
will be We have found that 1 page of narration roughly equals about 1.5 minutes of recorded time. So, divide your estimated running time by 1.5. If the answer is 3 pages or less, online ordering is probably your best value. If it is 4 or more pages, contacting us for an estimate is probably a better value. What types of payment are accepted? We accept most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club) as well as Pay Pal payments. We can conduct the transaction either via fax or our secure server. While we can also accept pre-payment via company check, there will be a delay while the check clears the banking system. How can you deliver finished product? In any number of ways and formats, including: CDR, FTP, DAT, 1/4" Reel-to-reel and DGS. Almost any file format for CD or FTP is available upon request (e.g. WAV or AIF at 44/16-bit - 22/16-bit, or any MP3 format). CDs are typically shipped FedEx Overnight, but other options are available. How do you guarantee the quality of the recording? All files are recorded at CD quality using high-quality professional equipment. We guarantee the files will be of professional (broadcast) quality or we will re-record the original session script. How do I download and save an MP3 file? If you are using Internet
Explorer for Windows: right-click on the MP3 file and select
"save target as". Select the desired
location and then name the file as *.MP3 (this saves the file to the local
disk). For those on Mac's using Internet Explorer or Netscape: Click on the file, and another window comes up showing the playback status bar of the file. From the pulldown menu on the far right side of the status bar, select "Save as Quicktime Movie". Selecting "Save as Quicktime Movie" brings up a save file dialog box. Select the desired location and then name the file as *.MP3 (this saves the file to the local disk). Having problems downloading from ftp? If you have problems downloading files from ftp, you may have to activate "use passive mode transfers" in your browser depending on your firewall settings. Can I just book some time without a talent? Yes. Just contact us and we'll reserve time for your session. Am I limited to the talent listed? Only for online voiceover orders. If you are not placing an online order and don't find the voice that suits your needs from our demos, check out our larger archives of MP3 files via our FTP server. All files are coded by name so we can locate and identify the talent. I can't find the talent I'm looking for... Please contact us directly with a description of what you are looking for. Chances are, we can find the right person. I need to reschedule and/or cancel my session.. Speakeasy requires two business days notice for cancellations and one business day notice for rescheduling of session(s); otherwise, a fee not to exceed the total amount of the session will apply. For more details on our rescheduling and cancellation policy, please review our TERMS of USE. Can you provide any company references? We have a partial client list on our website ( http://voiceover.com/clients.htm ). If you would like a personal reference we will be happy to put you in touch with a few of our customers directly.
