There are multiple levels of voiceover providers. 

Levels of Service

Level 1 – Free AI

Free is hard to beat.  The only catch is one typically gets what one pays for.

Level 2 – Paid AI

This option is painstakingly time consuming to achieve anywhere near human-sounding results.  AI will certainly improve, but at the time of this writing, there’s a lot of producer input required.  It will take one approximately 10-20 or more times the length of the finished production to make the voice sound anywhere close to what the 3 below levels offer.

Level 3 – Independent Voiceover Talents

The task of vetting out the professionals from the not-so-professionals is the burden of the buyer at this level.  Some sources, such as online freelancer sites, offer great values, but they must be found in the vast sea of not-so-great values, too.

Level 4 – General Production Companies

At nearly the top of the field are professional production companies.  This is a highly competitive field, and any company that has lasted more than a decade in this market must be doing something right. The differences between companies, besides experience, is the percentage of business that is from voiceover productions and not other services like video, web, and social media content.  For example, a company that is 90% social media focused is likely going to outsource their voiceover needs.

Level 5 – Voiceover-only Production Companies

This is where we fit in.

There are only a few, long-standing companies in this category.  We’ve had some of the same competitors for decades, and we’d even recommend some of them if the point of this wasn’t to get you to buy from us!  But seriously, the providers at this level have superior work-flow and turnaround times, They use professional recording engineers working in actual recording studios (like ours pictured on this page). No part of the process is outsourced, ensuring the the highest level of service and quality.
